If I am being honest this whole social distancing thing hasn’t been easy. I completely understand why we are doing it and am thankful that it actions are being taken to prevent the spread. However I miss being able to travel, spend time with extended family, go to the museum, go to parks, and so much more. I had so many things planned for spring but put them on a hold in order to follow the social distancing rules put in place. While it hasn’t been easy Disney has been the real MVP throughout the whole thing by releasing Frozen 2 and Onward early on Disney+ along with releasing some recipes to some favorite treats from the parks.
My husband and I were in the process of planning a trip to take our son to Disneyland for the first time. With coronavirus and the parks closing we had to put that on hold. Instead of being sad about the whole thing I decided it would be fun to hold our very own at home Disneyland day. We did our best to bring Disneyland to our home. We made delicious treats that can be found at Disneyland along with watched some Disneyland/Disneyworld rides online.
Loaded Potato Soup
For dinner we had baked potato soup. Just like soup you get from Carnation Cafe in Disneyland. It was easy to make and was full of flavor and brought back all the memories to being at Disneyland. Here is the recipe I used.

Monte Cristo Sandwiches
We also made Monte Cristo sandwiches. Just like the ones you can get from the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland. I was kind of skeptical at first because I had never had a sandwich with meat and jam on it. However this is the perfect mixture of sweet and savory.

Tigger Tails
For dessert we had Tigger tails. Just like the ones you can get from Pooh’s corner in Disneyland’s critter country. They are so good and I have plans to make them again. Theo was obsessed with them and enjoyed sitting down at the table to eat them with me. They’re fairly easy to make and can be made ahead of time. Mine didn’t turn out as pretty because I didn’t have any coconut oil (you can also use shortening) to add to my chocolate. Apparently coconut oil makes the chocolate easier to spread. I will for sure be using some in the future when I make them. However they were still delicious and I am craving them as we speak.

Dole Whip
We also made dole whip. Disney recently released some favorite recipes for all those dealing with Disneyland withdrawals. While this isn’t to official dole whip recipe it still tastes really close to the real thing. It is also really easy to make and all of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store. We enjoyed the dole whip while we watched rides on YouTube.
