It’s been a minute since I have given a mental h

It’s been a minute since I have given a mental health update. I started with a new therapist (my last one moved to a clinic that doesn’t accept my insurance), I’ve been eating healthy and working out daily. Things are definitely improving in regards to my mental health but still aren’t where I want them to be. I have found that outdoors have a healing element. I’ve been spending as much time outside as possible and it has definitely been helping. For those of you who also deal with mental health issues remember that you aren’t broken. You are strong and capable.

A few days ago I took Theo to the doctors for his 2 year checkup and it was so surreal walking into the hospital and seeing all those frontline workers spending so much time to help all of those in need while trying to protect their own families. I talked to a nurse in the elevator and she was just so worn out. I can’t even imagine the amount of hard work all the frontline workers are going through. I have so much respect and gratitude for them. @bearpawshoes is donating 1,000 pair of slippers to front line workers to bring them some comfort for when they have time to rest. Went on a family adventure today to a cute little

Went on a family adventure today to a cute little mining town. Hiked up a trail full of wildflowers. My goal this spring/summer is to spend as much time outside as possible.

I am 1 week into changing my diet to help my anxie

I am 1 week into changing my diet to help my anxiety and it has been great so far. It’s a lot different changing my diet when the main focus is on helping my mental health rather than trying to lose weight. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the fix and that I can get into a better place mentally. Outfit is from @fabletics #moveinfabletics

Went on a Mother’s Day hike to Elephant Rock and

Went on a Mother’s Day hike to Elephant Rock and it was invigorating. The elephant rock hike has always been one of my favorite hikes to go on. It’s where I gained my love for the outdoors and have hiked it many times. 2 years ago I hiked part of this hike while I was exactly 9 months pregnant to try to induce labor. It was fun to go back carryinghim on my back instead of in my tummy. Also happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing women out there.

How was this 2 years ago? Theo turns 2 next week and my heart is about to explode. It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant with him. I absolutely love this kid and am so happy to have him in my life. I love being his mama. Also looking at these makes me miss my hair long.

Mental Health Update: I met with the most amazing

Mental Health Update:
I met with the most amazing doctor today and wow it was hands down the best doctors appointment I have ever been to. She sat down and talked to me for 2 hours about my life and health. Ran a bunch of tests (waiting on results) and listened to everything I had to say without making me feel crazy. She set up a plan to help get myself back to where I need to be mentally. Her focus is to treat the person rather than the symptoms. I feel so hopeful for the future and honestly believe that this is just what I need to get over this speed bump and get on top of my mental health. On top of all of that she also recommended I try EMDR therapy to help me deal with some of the hardships that I have been through in my life. For the next 4 weeks I will be going on a special diet to help. It’s mainly just eating healthy and avoiding yeast and sugars. Please send me all the good vibes because I have the biggest sweet tooth and am a carbaholic. I seriously feel so hopeful and happy. Just a reminder that light always comes after those dark times. Light is always ahead! You’ve got this!

I’m proud of myself. Yesterday I pulled out a big 20 year old bush including the roots (which were pretty much down to the depths of hell) all by myself. And an hour or so after that I did a 30 minute workout. I don’t know who the heck I am anymore and where all that energy/motivation came from but I love it. Outfit is from @fabletics #myfabletics

I hid in the bathroom so I could eat my ice cream

I hid in the bathroom so I could eat my ice cream without having to share it with Theo. I forgot to lock it and he found my hiding place so I had to share. It’s impossible to say no when he says “cookie pwease”. [AD] @churnbaby launched their ice cream line today and it is heavenly. So many good flavors and the ice cream comes with a cookie inside along with a spoon.

So I have decided that I am going to remodel this

So I have decided that I am going to remodel this bathroom all by myself with minimal help from Casey. I’ll be adding new lights, new faucet, new mirror, painting the vanity and wall, and redo the flooring (most likely tile). I picked up some paint samples, primer, and sand paper. I will be starting on the vanity tomorrow. Shoutout to @huntersofhappiness for empowering me to do it.

Future partners in crime. During dinner Theo asked for more chicken nuggets. I hurried and warmed him up some more and he put them on his fork to start feeding Jack his chicken nuggets. I just love his fun little personality.

I have been trying my best to make the most out of social distancing and have been doing activities to help keep my family and myself from going stir crazy. Recently I put together an at home Disneyland day. We enjoyed Disneyland treats and watched Disneyland rides. I recently redid my blog and wrote a post about my adventure. This kid has one speed... run. I just love chasing

This kid has one speed... run. I just love chasing him around and giving him all the hugs. By the way I got this pacifier holder from @pacifiernecklace and it has been great for Theo and for keeping it from getting lost. It can also be used as a chew necklace for sensory when he gets older. A girl I went to Jr. High with started the company.
